Delete your data
You can delete your Backgammon data at any time. There are two ways, depending on whether you only want to leave Backgammon or leave Powell Play altogether.
Option A: delete your Backgammon data here
This deletes your Backgammon player. It:
- Removes your player, name, stats, rating, badges, settings, recovery code and sessions.
- Anonymizes event logs, so they no longer point to you.
- Keeps purchase records only as long as tax law requires, unlinked from your player.
This cannot be undone. If you bought Backgammon Pro, it is lost with your player. If you want a refund, ask for it first (see Refunds).
Delete the Backgammon player on this device
This browser is signed in as a Backgammon player. Deleting it removes that player from our server and signs this browser out.
No player on this device
This browser is not signed in as a Backgammon player. If you play on another device, open this page there, or use your recovery code below.
Have a recovery code?
Use this if you play on another device or cleared this browser. Enter the recovery code you made in the game.
Option B: delete your Powell Play account
If you signed in with Powell Play, you can delete your Powell Play account at id.powellplay.com/account. When you do, we stop using your Powell Play details and remove them from Backgammon. You can also choose to delete your data in every connected game. If you do, we delete your Backgammon data too, as described in Option A.
To only unlink Backgammon and keep both accounts, disconnect Backgammon from your Powell Play account instead.
Cannot use either option?
Email backgammon@powellplay.com from the device you play on and ask us to delete your data. Tell us your in-game name and roughly when you last played, so we can find your player. We will confirm when it is done, within 30 days.
Our privacy policy explains what we keep and for how long.
